...Good Y2K, fellow readers!
Here we are, after Christmas and Millenium vacation period with another .netArt
issue. The feedback we received after the first one pleased us so much that
now we only have to go on preparing some fresh content for you to read! Thanks
for the support you gave us.
We justify ourselves for the delay in the release of the second issue by simply
making you remember that holidays are there even for us ;)
But let's introduce this month's articles: Leonardo Piras give us a quick overview
of Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) and demonstrates
how his work got better using this technology in combination with databases.
For the HTML-sentimentalists out there, like me and Frederic, it could seem
a little scary to let the server cure all those data entries which we usually
used to take care of by hand-coding. But considering the speed of updates and
the overall simplicity we cannot afford to ignore this environment.
In Licence to Flash, our Q shows us
some of his most interesting tips and tricks for Macromedia Flash, check it out.
And, finally, me and Frederic have put together some of our best bookmarks on webdesign,
javascript, html and much more and we called this list Entry
Level (the goal should be to make the wannabes actually enter
the webdesign profession... ;) This way you can read the great articles and
tutorials that we found so useful. Anyway, stay tuned, we already have under
development an expanded version!
